The Obstacle Sports have emerged as a new and influential pillar of the Modern Pentathlon, gaining recognition within the evolving structure of the Olympic Games. This development reflects a systematic shift toward greater dynamism, accessibility, and sustainability in the international sports system

Hamedan — The Iran Cheerleading Committee (CCI), operating under the O-Sport Multisport Association of I.R. Iran (OSAIRI), has officially been admitted as a member of the International Cheer Union (ICU) after nearly a decade of continuous activity.

The thirteenth OSAIRI General Assembly in Hamadan reviewed and approved key reports, previous minutes, and the proposed budget. Members discussed development plans and participation in major international events, including the 2028 Olympics and 2030 Asian Games and 1st Asian Mind Games 2027. New national team participations were approved across several disciplines, and key leadership positions were elected. The Assembly also considered external proposals and announced preparations for the 2027 Humanitarian International Games in Iran

In recent years, cheerleading has established a significant and growing presence within the global sports community and the Olympic Movement, emerging as one of the fastest-developing international sports disciplines. The International Cheer Union (ICU), founded in 2004, serves as the internationally recognized authority for the governance and development of both Cheerleading and Performance Cheer worldwide.

The O-SPORT Association of I.R.Iran (OSAIRI), in accordance with the rules and regulations of the World O-Sport Federation (WOF), successfully organized the O-SPORT Beach Hybrid Relay National Team Selection Event for the Adult Category in both Men’s and Women’s divisions.

The 38th Iranian Mind Sports National Championship will be held on July 23-24 in Tabriz as the first stage of the national team selection process for the 2026 World and Asian Championships.

The 1st Qazvin Para Draughts Championship will be held alongside the Go and Morabaraba (Doz) Mind Sports Championships for athletes with disabilities.

According to the Public Relations Office of the Mind Sports Committee of the O-Sport Association of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the National Men’s Mind Sports Championship concluded successfully on July 24 in Tabriz, bringing together elite athletes from provinces across the country.

The Qazvin Province OSAIRI Mind Sports Championship for Para Athletes and Athletes with Disabilities was held to commemorate the Shajareh Minab Girls' Martyrs and National Welfare Week, bringing together 175 athletes at Shahid Babaei Sports Hall in Qazvin on July 22, 2026.

MANOUCHEHRI.PRO بار دیگر به‌عنوان حامی و اسپانسر رویداد ملی او-اسپرت ایران معرفی شد و این بار حمایت از سی‌وهشتمین دوره مسابقات قهرمانی او-اسپرت ایرانیان را بر عهده گرفته است. این دوره از مسابقات در هفته سوم اکتبر ۲۰۲۶ در همدان، ایران برگزار خواهد شد و حضور ورزشکاران در این رقابت‌ها رایگان خواهد بود؛ اقدامی که بیانگر تعهد MANOUCHEHRI.PRO به توسعه ورزش و حمایت مستقیم از جامعه ورزشکاران است.

با توجه به مباحث اخیر پیرامون ساماندهی بازی‌های فکری و ورزش‌های ذهنی در کشور، کمیته ورزش‌های ذهنی انجمن او-اسپرت جمهوری اسلامی ایران لازم می‌داند برای جلوگیری از هرگونه ابهام، تفاوت ماهوی، کارکردی و سازمانی میان این دو حوزه و حدود مأموریت ساختارهای فعال در آنها را تبیین کند.

به گزارش روابط عمومی کمیته ورزش های ذهنی ایرانیان، در پی برگزاری موفق سی‌وهشتمین دوره مسابقات قهرمانی او-اسپرت کشور (کمیته ورزش‌های ذهنی) در مورخ یکم و دوم مرداد سال جاری، به میزبانی تبریز، و در راستای تحقق اهداف کلان توسعه ورزش‌های ذهنی، ارتقاء سطح فنی ورزشکاران و آماده‌سازی تیم‌های ملی انجمن او-اسپرت ج.ا. ایران (اوسایری) جهت حضور مؤثر در رویدادهای بین المللی پیشِ‌رو، اردوی تیم ملی ورزش‌های ذهنی رشته های (درافتس، گو، اسپید کیوبینگ، مورابارابا، شیانگ چی و ترکیبی تیس کوپان) مضافاً اردوی تیم ملی توانیابان در رشته های مذکور طی روزهای 12 الی 14 شهریورماه سال جاری، به‌صورت برخط (آنلاین، آفلاین و دیجیتال) و با پشتیبانی وب سایت www.iranianmindsports.ir وبا حضور مدالیست های قهرمانی کشور 1405 به شرح ذیل برگزارخواهد شد:

The OSAIRI OCR National Team of Iran ultimately missed the opportunity to participate in the second UIPM World OCR Championships 2026. According to a report by the Secretary General of OSAIRI, the decision was made amid uncertainties surrounding the national status of OSAIRI’s Obstacle Sports Committee, the status of elite-level championship activities, and a recently observed change in the approach of the National Olympic Committee of Iran.

The Association’s performance report had previously been presented at the June 2026 General Assembly. Following the completion of the remaining period through the end of the financial and administrative year, the final version of the report was once again submitted to the members of the Association’s General Assembly on September 9, 2026.
